Open Position
UI/UX Designer
Why We Opened This Position
The inflow of new clients has grown to the point where we decided to form a third development line. Every new project needs its own designer — someone who dives deep into the product and owns it visually from the first screen through to the final release. That is exactly the role we are hiring for.
Responsibilities
- Design user experiences for websites, web applications, and mobile applications.
- Create prototypes and final design mockups in Figma.
- Build design systems for projects: components, tokens, typography, and color styles.
- Collaborate with front-end developers: hand off mockups and ensure implementation matches the design intent.
- Design responsive layouts for mobile, tablet, and desktop.
- Conduct UX research: understand the project's target audience and map user flows.
- Evolve the visual language of our own product QBiX Menu and the studio website.
- Participate in client discussions during the requirements gathering phase.
Requirements
- 2+ years of UI/UX design experience with a portfolio of real commercial projects.
- Confident Figma skills. Plugins and component-based design are required.
- Understanding of web design principles: grids, typography, color systems, and visual hierarchy.
- Experience designing responsive interfaces (mobile-first approach).
- Ability to create and maintain design systems.
- Basic understanding of HTML/CSS — enough to avoid designing mockups that cannot be built.
- Clear Kazakh or Russian communication skills for team collaboration.
- Your own aesthetic sensibility. No portfolio — don't apply.
Nice to Have
- Experience designing mobile applications for iOS and Android (Apple HIG and Material Design guidelines).
- Experience with animations; familiarity with Lottie or GSAP.
- Basic understanding of Figma-to-code workflows (Storybook, Tokens Studio).
- Experience working in a product team.
Benefits & Conditions
- Creative freedom in design decisions. We are not an agency that pushes cookie-cutter templates.
- Real clients with real tasks: your work will be shipped, not shelved.
- Opportunity to own the design of our SaaS product QBiX Menu from concept to release.
- Direct collaboration with the development team — designs are implemented as intended.
- Flexible schedule. A 4/5 arrangement or flexible part-time is possible.
- Studio covers Figma, Adobe CC, icon packs, and font subscriptions.
